How Archbishop Palmer-Buckle celebrated his ‘25th Episcopal Ordination Anniversary’

The Metropolitan Archbishop the Catholic church in Accra, Most Reverend Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, marked his 25th Episcopal Ordination Anniversary with a thanksgiving mass at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra. Catholic faithful, Priests, colleague Bishops and well-wishers from far and near joined Most Rev Palmer-Buckle to glorify God for His mercies. Prayers were said, songs of praises were sang and there was a lot of jubilation when the Bishop cut the anniversary cake.

More than 50 children in Lawui drop out of basic school every year; residents beg for school facilities

Every year, at least 50 pupils at the Lawui D/A Primary School in the Akatsi South District of the Volta Region, are unable to further their education to Junior High School after completing Primary six. The reason being that the community has no JHS facility as the Lawui D/A Primary School which is the only school that provides basic education to children from nine other surrounding villages cannot accommodate more pupils. Apart from lacking JHS blocks, pupils are forced to learn under sheds roofed with straws because the two 3-unit classroom blocks are not enough to accommodate the over 350 kindergarten and primary school pupils. The headteacher and staff of the school have no office. Maurice Ampaw reveals how much prostitutes charge for sex

Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has disclosed the amount commercial sex workers charge for their services. According to the “Celebrity Lawyer”, the amount charged by prostitutes depends on the type of sex and how long the man wants to last during the intercourse. He said, some of the prostitutes take GHC50 which is the cheapest amount, for sex that does not involve kissing, touching and fondling.  “I have done research on that and I know that some of the prostitutes take GHC50 for short time; even that one there’s no kissing and touching involved and it lasts for at most two minutes,” he said. Mr. Ampaw explained that, for a man to have a full night with a prostitute and be able to satisfy his libido, he is required to pay not less than GHC150.  “We also have full night. That one you can play all the sexual games with the lady. They charge from at least GHC150 and GHC200, and even some charge in dollars,” he revealed. Hiplife artiste Nana Yaw Adjei Yeboah Maradona popularly known as Guru has revealed how a trusted friend stabbed him in the back by trying to kill him He said, he was nearly killed after he unknowingly consumed poison given to him by a close friend. Officials of the Ghana International Bank have said the Bank has no evidence of money laundering against Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, debunking media reports that suggest otherwise. They said the ongoing tribunal hearing that has gained much public attention, has nothing to do with the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, as it is about the former Executive Director of the bank, Mark Arthur’s breach of the Bank’s internal policies and procedures. Clarifying the Asantehene’s involvement in the money laundering case, the bank in a statement said, “There has never been any suggestion by the Bank that the King was or is involved in money laundering. In fact, we have no evidence to that effect.
