Host of Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana show, has opined that journalists who went to the polls to elect executives for the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) voted based on a statement released by the Association cautioning journalists to desist from witch-hunting businesses in the country. According to Paul Adom Otchere, the statement greatly affected the just ended elections as it influenced the judgement of some journalists causing division amongst them. “The election was between those who liked the GJA press statement and those who didn’t like the GJA press statement. Thank you for congratulating me on my victory – Akufo-Addo to Nduom, Konadu, others

Some of the smaller parties contesting in the 2016 presidential elections have conceded defeat and have sent their congratulatory messages to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Results so far from Wednesday December 7, 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections, showed that the flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is leading with NDC’s President John Mahama following. The flag bearer of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom in a short statement, said he has conceded defeat to the NPP as results made available to him indicate victory for the NPP. According to him, the NPP has worked hard enough for its victory. He wrote: “The wind of change has blown in his (Akufo-Addo’s) favour. We’ve not seen even a computer mouse before but we’ll write ICT – BECE candidates lament

With less than a week to the commencement of the 2019 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) final year pupils of Akplorfudzi E.P/M.A Basic School say the odds are stuck against them. The 22 BECE candidates of the school, located in the Keta Municipality of the Volta Region have raised serious academic and infrastructural concerns which they strongly believe would cause them to perform poorly in the final exam. The thought of writing subjects they have little knowledge about sends constant shivers down their spines. A major concern raised by the distressed students are the lack of computers at an empty room labelled as 'ICT Lab', lack of books at the school’s library and the lack teachers. Sadly, most of the students have never seen even a computer mouse  before. They say they have not even seen a computer before.
