Afia Schwarzenegger rejects ‘babe’s’ luxurious birthday treat

Controversial TV personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has rejected an expensively planned birthday treat from her husband. The self-acclaimed ‘Queen of comedy’ will be a year older come Tuesday, February 14, 2017. In order to make her day – which falls on Valentine day a memorable one, Afia’s “babe” has offered to give her a special birthday treat outside their home. A conversation between the two lovers posted on Instagram with a romantic picture revealed the desire of the husband to celebrate the day at Royal Senchi but Afia said she prefers her home. Instead of spending GHC3,700 on a Valentine weekend at Royal Senchi, she wants to rebook their bedroom for only GHC2,000. Transport Minister-designate appears before Appointments Committee

                                            Minister-designate for Transport, Kwasi Ofori Asiamah  Minister-designate for Transport, Kwasi Ofori Asiamah said he will employ technology at ports in the country and ensure container handling and other activities are separated to promote efficiency. According to the yet to be approved minister who appeared before the Parliament’s Appointments Committee, Thursday - If technology is employed at the ports, the cost and time of transacting business will also reduce. “I will advise the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) to look strictly into their technological involvements concerning the arrival and clearance of goods and cargo situations at the ports,” he indicated. Mr. Ofori Asiamah also made known his intentions of working with the private sector to reduce ferry accidents by removing tree stumps and replacing the deteriorated Dambai ferry on the Volta lake.

   Minister-designate for Science, Technology and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng The Minister-designate for Science, Technology and Innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng has made known to the Parliament’s Appointments Committee his intentions for the Science and Technology industry. When approved as a Minister, Mr. Frimpong Boateng will work towards turning Ghana into a technological hub through the establishment of a business promotions unit at the ministry. He said Ghana’s technology infrastructure is weak and needs to be addressed through the creation of a critical mass of scientists and engineers. “I think we need to create a critical mass of scientists because the science and technology infrastructure in Ghana is very weak,” he noted.
